Enjoy a free family “Reel Music” concert set Monday, April 19 at Lone Star College-CyFair.

Under the direction of Jose Rocha, the LSC-CyFair String Ensemble will present classical selections that have found their way onto the big screen.

Among the movies audiences may recognize from selections played are “The Sound of Music”, “An American Tail”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “South Pacific” to name a few. Edvard Grieg’s “Aase’s Death” tune heard in the 1957 made-for-TV musical “The Pied Piper of Hamelin” as well as in television’s “The Simpsons” episode “Coming to Homerica” will be played.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held in the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
