Workforce Solutions will offer three job-search seminars in April at the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library. These free seminars are held on the second floor in the computer lab room, L-207.
The “Networking/Using the Internet” seminar will be held on Wednesday, April 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn how to effectively use the Internet for their job search and increase the visibility of their resume. They will also learn how to develop a list of helpful contacts and create a marketing profile to promote their skills and abilities.
The “Creating a Resume/Completing the Application” seminar will be held on Wednesday, April 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn how to fill out thorough, accurate and neat applications as well as compose effective resumes that make their education, skills and experience clear and marketable to the employer.
The “Resume Lab” seminar will be held on Wednesday, April 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. With the help of an experienced trainer, all participants will learn to build a modern, effective resume in Microsoft Word and save it electronically for future use.
