First-time students planning to attend Lone Star College-University Park in the fall will have several opportunities for “one-stop shopping” to take care of admissions-related requirements during College Bound Days on Tuesday through Thursday, July 21-23.
During the events, attendees can apply and enroll in classes, attend new student orientation and get help with financial aid. Students should bring their STAAR/TAKS/SAT/ACT scores as well as proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination.
“These days will make the process easier by providing students the option to complete all the steps to enroll in one to two days,” said Deshonta Holmes, director of admissions and outreach at Lone Star College-University Park.
Students who choose to take care of all business at once should attend on Tuesday, July 21. Those who prefer to break the process up should attend the two half-day events on Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 and 23.
• On Tuesday, check-in is at 8:30 a.m., followed by admissions, testing, new student orientation at 3 p.m., and advising until 7 p.m.
• On Wednesday, check-in is at 1:30 p.m., followed by admissions and testing until 7 p.m.
• On Thursday, check-in is at 2:30 p.m., followed by new student orientation at 3 p.m. and registration from 5 to 7 p.m.
LSC-University Park is located at State Highway 249 and Louetta Road. Free public parking is available in Garage 11. Check-in takes place in the Admissions Office in Building 13, Room 210.
