Lone Star College-East Aldine Center is offering three bilingual medical programs to address growing demand in the industry.
The center will offer Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Electrocardiography Monitor Technician (EKG).
“These new additions will not only enhance our ability to provide comprehensive, high-quality care but also ensure we are meeting the evolving healthcare demands of our diverse community,” said Dean Reyna Tippetts.
DeLisa Sumpter is the Lead Professor for the programs.
“These programs are steppingstones into the healthcare field. It increases skills you may not be aware of such as social interaction, communication skills, and lifesaving skills. This is your starting point and a great opportunity to accomplish your goals.”
“Teaching a bilingual C.N.A. class is a profound honor,” shared Continuing Education Adjunct Certified Nursing Aide Priscilla Olguin. “It's about more than just teaching skills. It's about empowering future healthcare workers to serve diverse communities with compassion and understanding, bridging language barriers to ensure every patient receives the care they deserve. The privilege of shaping both hearts and hands in two languages is a gift I am thankful to be doing.”

- $3,800 tuition

Some students may be eligible for grants. Once students complete the certificate they can apply for certain national exams.
