Lone Star College Foundation impacts students’ lives by reducing the heavy financial burdens they may face while pursuing a college degree. LSC Foundation provides financial relief through its fundraising endeavors, including its annual StarGala, themed “Imagine the Possibilities.”
“Lone Star College Foundation, through generous donors, supporters and major fundraisers, provides life-changing financial and educational resources to help students focus on their educational goals,” said Nicole Robinson Gauthier, CFRE, LSC Foundation executive director. “We want students to succeed, academically and professionally, without the financial burden of long-term debt.”
LSC Foundation’s annual StarGala will take place Saturday, April 13, from 6 p.m. to midnight at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. The evening will include dinner, auctions and entertainment. Proceeds from the event will support LSC students through scholarships, providing relief from financial barriers and access to future employment opportunities.
“As a Lone Star College graduate and a strong advocate for quality education, the opportunity for all people to access affordable education is critical to a vibrant community,” said Paula Mendoza, LSC Foundation board member and StarGala chair. “Lone Star College ensured my path to entrepreneurship and made career paths for others possible. While working two jobs, their flexible course offerings were a key to my success.”
