Enjoy a “romance as American as apple pie” at Lone Star College-CyFair’s “Molly Delicious” in the Main Stage Theatre Nov. 1- 10.
LSC-CyFair’s Artistic Director Jeff Wax directs this Craig Wright play set in 1967 in the small-town apple farm of Lindy Linda and his wife Cindy. The couple’s uneventful life of affectionate bickering has been interrupted with a superfluity of apples and the arrival of their niece Alison, a headstrong and quite pregnant woman from Connecticut.
“The play has a strong script that focuses on issues of love, family, hopes and dreams,” said Wax, who chose the play based on its theme and wide spectrum of appeal to audiences. “Life’s better than you think. We have to sometimes see that the glass is half-full despite the adversity we face.”
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays in the Main Stage Theatre, in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students with valid school ID. Group rates are available.
