Discover the ins and outs of Montgomery County’s fastest-growing job market during Lone Star College-Montgomery’s Health Care Forum and Discussion Panel Wednesday, March 29 from 1-2:30p.m. in Building G, Room 102. The event is free and open to the community.
“It is not everyday that you are transported behind the scenes of these professions,” said Juan Lebron, faculty counselor at the LSC-Montgomery Transfer, Recruitment, & Career (TRAC) Center. “Our guests will help you learn about high-level industry trends and must-have skill sets, all lessons they have learned from years of experience in the ever-changing health care industry. This forum and discussion panel is a great way to learn about the direction of patient care fields in this area.”
As the health care industry continues to thrive, LSC-Montgomery is providing students with many programs of study that allow them to enter this exciting field. Students can choose from emergency medical services (EMS), medical radiologic technology, nursing, phlebotomy, and physical therapy. Other colleges in the system also have dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonography, massage therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy technology, respiratory care and surgical technology.
Panelists will be sharing challenges and opportunities within their specific fields. All attendees will be able to ask questions to help determine which health care path fits their passions.
