Join Lone Star College-CyFair’s Concert Choir and Chamber Choir to kick off the holiday with an evening of seasonal favorites.
Professor of Music and Director of Vocal Study Alex Qian directs the “Christmas Oratorio” by Johann Sebastian Bach, which tells the life story of Jesus beginning with the journey to Bethlehem.
“Bach’s composition celebrates the holiday season with music that elicits pictures of a happy multitude, clad in joyful gear, with ribbons streaming and holly branches waving in a token of gladness,” said Qian. “This concert will also delight audiences with holiday favorites such as ‘Alleluia’ and ‘Fly to Paradise’ by Eric Whitacre and ‘Christmas on Broadway’ by John Higgins.”
Tickets are $10 for the 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, performance in the Main Stage Theatre located in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.
