The Lone Star College-CyFair Performance Troupe’s scholarship fund-raising show “Angry Young Women In Low-Rise Jeans With High-Class Issues” has been rescheduled so playwright Matt Morillo can attend and host a Q&A.
Morillo’s outrageous new comedy is told in five outrageously funny parts and it’s all about young women and the various issues they confront today. It’s part sit-com, part stand-up comedy and part sketch-comedy. Shareshten Senior with New York Cool said “It’s a must see for any ‘Sex and the City’ fan.”
Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., this show is for mature audiences only due to strong language and adult themes.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20 (Q&A follows) and Saturday, April 21 in the Black Box Theatre in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Tickets, available for advanced purchase in the Technology Building, Suite 123, are $5 or get the “bring-a-friend” rate of $3 each for groups of three or more. All ticket proceeds go toward student scholarships.
