WHAT: A groundbreaking ceremony to kickoff construction of Lone Star College-Montgomery’s three new instructional buildings—the Health Science Center, the General Academic Center, and the Music Hall.
WHEN: Friday, November 20, 2009, at 12:15 p.m. A reception with light hors d’oeuvres will begin at 11:30 a.m., and a dessert reception will immediately follow the groundbreaking event at 1:15 p.m.
WHERE: The reception will take place in The Commons, Building A. The kickoff ceremony and groundbreaking event will take place in the theatre, Building D. The dessert reception will follow in the theatre lobby and Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery, Building D.
WHO: The ceremony will feature Randy Bates, chair of the Lone Star College System Board of Trustees; Dr. Richard G. Carpenter, LSCS Chancellor; Dr. Austin A. Lane, LSC-Montgomery President; Ian Powell, partner of PBK Architects; George A.
