Academy for Lifelong Learning open houses planned for Aug. 18 for Lone Star College-Victory Center and Aug. 24 for Lone Star College-North Harris

The Lone Star College-North Harris Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) is inviting community members to its fall open houses scheduled for Aug. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the LSC-Victory Center (Room 101), near the Acres Homes and Inwood Forest neighborhoods, and Aug. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. at LSC-North Harris in the Community Education Building (Room 101).

The open houses are an opportunity for individuals, age 50 and better, to meet other ALL members, to get to know the instructors and register for classes.

The ALL program courses offer a range of instruction from water color to courses on protecting yourself against identity theft. Some of the popular programs are history classes and day trips throughout the Houston area.

Membership costs $20 per academic calendar year and allows members to register for any ALL class offered at LSC-North Harris from September 1 through August 31. Some courses may require an additional material, workbook or entry fee.

Those interested can also upgrade their membership and enjoy the benefits at all six Lone Star College campuses. The non-refundable $55 membership fee entitles ALL members to take courses and use the other selected services at LSC-CyFair, LSC-Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery, LSC-Tomball and LSC-University Park.
