Get in the holiday spirit with the free annual Lighting of the Lake event set Monday, Nov. 29 at Lone Star College-CyFair.

Bring the family to celebrate the season with college staff and students from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for free activities at the amphitheatre and surrounding areas on the Barker Cypress campus.

The evening includes a welcome from LSC-CyFair President Dr. Audre Levy, a variety of family activities like a train ride, entertainment from the LSC-CyFair Jazz Ensemble, LSC-CyFair Choir and LSC-CyFair Dance Team and a synchronized lighting of the campus.

There will be free holiday desserts; photos with Santa, his sleigh and reindeer, elves and Quacks McGee; frame decorating and Dreidel games; a coloring station and gingerbread cookie decorating area; origami; readings of “The Polar Express” and the history of Hanukkah; a carol sing-along and more.
