Lone Star College understands today’s student is looking for flexibility when they’re juggling jobs and family commitments. That’s why LSC offers Next Start classes to help fit a broad range of goals to help them be successful.
“Lone Star College offers Next Start classes for students seeking an accelerated path toward their academic and career goals,” said Dwight L. Smith, Ed.D., LSC Vice Chancellor Academic and Workforce Success. “Next Start courses ensure students can handle their important responsibilities and earn a college education that will change their lives.”
LSC started its 16-week fall 2023 semester, but there’s still time to register for a course. The college offers Next Start classes that range from five to 14 weeks. Available programs fit various academic and career goals to help students earn bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, workforce and continuing education certificates or transfer credits to a four-year university.
“Attending Lone Star College has completely changed the trajectory of my life,” said Casey Sorkness, LSC-CyFair student enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. “The college has provided me with many opportunities and vast resources to be successful as a student and in my future career.”
