Lone Star College-Montgomery students-especially those returning to college after a major life or career change-have a second chance for a unique scholarship from Assistance League® of Montgomery County.
Due to extra funds, Assistance League's $750 'Return to Education' scholarship, normally awarded each summer, is still available to students entering or already attending LSC-Montgomery or Lone Star College-Conroe Center in pursuit of a career that benefits others. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college in time for the 2013 spring and/or summer semesters.
Completed applications are due Friday, November 30. The scholarship application and instructions can be found online at http://assistanceleaguemont-co.org
Potential recipients must be 18 years or older, be a resident of Montgomery County, and have a high school diploma or GED. The application includes an essay that depicts a need for financial aid, describes the candidate's vocational goals, and explains how achieving those goals will impact the candidate's life.
