Come learn about the tradition of communicating through movement and see a dance demonstration at Lone Star College Cy-Fair’s Feb. 27 Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) program.
In an interactive fireside chat, attendees will hear from two guests well versed in African and Black cultural dance expression from the ways it has been used through the years to express emotions, document stories and articulate experiences. Following the conversation, there will be a Q&A as well as a demonstration of an African Diaspora dance such as Fraternity/Sorority Stepping, Tribal Dance and the Houston 2-step.
This free L.I.F.E. program will be held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC 131.
