Lone Star College-CyFair’s spring performance schedule opens with the hilarious production of “Hands on a Hardbody” Feb. 27-March 1.
“This musical about a group of everyday Texans competing to win a new pickup includes the perfect blend of country, gospel and rock as well as the perfect blend of laughter, tears and charm,” said Joseph Urick, drama professor and director.
Inspired by true events, audiences will watch as 10 contestants, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, fight to keep at least one hand on a brand new truck to win and drive away with the American dream.
Infused with a fresh roots-rock vibe and some adult language, LSC-CyFair students bring the book about this hard-fought, four-day contest to the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a 3 p.m. Sunday matinee. Tickets are available at LoneStar.edu/boxoffice.
