LSC-Tomball will host its last summer New Student Orientation, mandatory for all first-time-in-college students planning to take classes this fall, on August 24. These Fall Welcome sessions are designed to ease the transition into college and to prepare new students for academic, social and personal success. Registration for this last fall session is now closed. Those who have not yet attended a fall orientation may come the morning of the program and check whether any spaces have been made available. However, there are no guarantees. Priority seating will be given to those who registered online, but we will make every attempt possible to accommodate everyone.
For those unable to attend a Fall session, you will be allowed to attend an orientation session for the spring semester. Those dates are to be determined.
During Fall Welcome, students will be introduced to faculty, staff and administrators, connect with current students, tour the campus and available resources, get a student ID and learn about extracurricular student organizations. Parent-specific sessions will also be offered on topics such as financial aid and supporting your new college student.
Orientation sessions will begin in the Performing Arts Center on the main LSC-Tomball campus located at 30555 Tomball Parkway, Tomball. For a complete schedule, visit: http://www.lonestar.edu/tomball-newstudentorientation.
