LSC-Montgomery Transfer In - Enrollment Checklist
A transfer student is a student who has either previously attended or is currently attending a different college/university (not Lone Star College) and plans on transferring their college credits to complete a degree or certificate program at Lone Star College.
Complete Application
- Have you already completed the Apply Texas application? If yes, go in and add Lone Star College as a college option.
- If not, go to apply at Lonestar.edu/ApplyTexas
- Check your email within 24-48 hours for important information and next steps.

College Placement
- For TSI Assessment or exemptions visit: LoneStar.edu/Placement-Testing-Info
- Submit SAT or ACT scores (optional) via College Board and/or Accuplacer to: Registrar@LoneStar.edu
Apply for Financial Aid
- Apply at StudentAid.gov; Lone Star College school code: 011145

Bacterial Meningitis
- Visit LoneStar.edu/Meningitis for more information and directions for how to submit your vaccination record or exemption.
Submit Official Transcript(s)
- Request all school(s) currently and/or previously attended to send official transcripts to Registrar@LoneStar.edu
- Transcripts submitted in person must be in a sealed envelope.
- Electronic transcripts must be sent directly from the school(s) to Lone Star College.
Take Care of Holds
- View holds in your my.LoneStar.edu student account.
Complete New Student Orientation (NSO)
- A New Student Orientation hold may show up on your checklist.
- If you are transferring from another college/university, contact the Admissions department for assistance with removing that hold.
Academic Advising
- Students may use an unofficial transcript for initial advising and registration purposes.
- Meet with an Advisor to discuss your degree or certificate program and course registration options.
- Visit the Maverick Student Center (MSC) to meet with an Advisor.
Search and Register for Classes
- Search for classes
- Register through my.LoneStar.edu student portal or by completing the Maverick Registration Form.
- For assistance call 936.273.7000 or visit the Maverick Student Center (MSC).
- Pay in Person: Business Office located in the Maverick Student Center (MSC).

Textbooks and Technology
- Visit the Lone Star College Bookstore for textbooks and school supplies.
- Contact the Office of Technology Services for technology resources and services.
