Mischelle Hopper

Dr. Mischelle Hopper is the Dean of the Natural Sciences and Health (NaSH) Division. Dr. Hopper earned her first degree, and associate of science, from West Hills College in Lemoore, California in 1993. She then went on to receive her associate of applied science in Nursing from Lone Star College- North Harris (then the North Harris-Montgomery Community College District) and her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Prairie View A&M. She earned both her Master’s in Nursing Education and her PhD in Nursing Science from Texas Woman’s University.

Dr. Hopper has held several roles in her 27 years as a nurse. She started her nursing career working as an RN in a Community Clinic. She then became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and worked for 10 years with high-risk pregnant clients in the underserved and indigent population. She went on to work in trauma and emergency services in multiple area hospitals, including local Level 1 and 2 Trauma centers. She has worked at LSC-Montgomery since 2014 as a faculty member, student organization advisor, and Nursing team lead.
