Testing

Lone Star College Testing Centers provide a variety of testing services to students including, but not limited to Placement Exams, Make-up Exams/LSC-Online Exams, Correspondence Exams, Challenge exams Foreign Language Exams and Exams for students approved for ADA Accommodations. No testing will begin within the last hour of closing.

Testing Services include:

• Accuplacer ESL and Math
• Challenge Exams
• Correspondence for Academic Exams
• GED
• Pearson Vue
Below are the current virtual options for students.  Please note that students will need a webcam.

Examity:

Online live proctoring service that helps ensure the academic integrity of testing in online courses. Examity helps keep the setup, scheduling, and test-taking process simple while offering flexible scheduling options for online courses.  Examity offers several monitoring levels, all of which use a webcam to monitor students as they take their exams online.

1. Complete the Remote Test Form Remote Testing Form
2. Submit form to HN-Testing@LoneStar.edu
3. Pay through Marketplace Link and select North Harris for payment.
4. Submit payment receipt to HN-Testing@LoneStar.edu.
5. Accuplacer will send instructions on scheduling the exam with Examity and how to pay the $20 exam proctor fee.

Virtual TSIA (Accuplacer) via WebEx

1. Complete the Remote Test Form Remote Testing Form
2. Submit form to HN-Testing@LoneStar.edu
3. Pay through Marketplace Link and select North Harris for payment.
4. Submit payment receipt to HN-Testing@LoneStar.edu.
5. LSC-Houston North Testing will coordinate scheduling test after payment receipt is received.

• No testing will begin within one hour of closing. The last hour is reserved for closing out exams that are already in progress. It is the Examinee’s responsibility to arrive early enough before closing time to finish an exam.
   
• In order to protect the integrity of exams, photo identification is required. If you lose your student ID, you may purchase a replacement card for $10. You can also present your Driver's License.

*Webcam, photo ID and a quiet place is required!
 

You will need a webcam to test, photo ID, as well as a quiet place, with minimal distractions. Your computer or device must have the ability to share the screen with the proctor.

Step 1: Fill out the remote testing form and submit it and your request to test by emailing HN-Testing@LoneStar.edu. Please include your Name, Student ID and the test that you would like to take.
Step 2: Once received, a testing associate will contact you within 24 hours to schedule the test.
Step 3: After the test, your results will be uploaded and you will be contacted by an Advisor within 24 hours.

Remote testing hours are currently:
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
