Tutoring Services

Business & Technology

Tutoring for various computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases are available in the Learning Center. Limited tutoring is available in programming, web design, and graphic applications. more

Math

Tutoring for math courses are available in two locations at LSC-Montgomery. We offer tutoring for developmental math in the homework lab located in Building F, room 216 and college level math in the Learning Center on the second floor of Building C. more

Placement Test Prep

The State of Texas requires that all students who attend a public institution of Higher Education to be assessed in the areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The purpose of placement testing is to determine your current level of skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math. This information determines the most appropriate courses for your enrollment. more

Science

The Learning Center offers tutoring in Science courses such as Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and Physics. The resources located in the classroom labs are also available in the Learning Center for practicals.  Tutoring Schedule

The Write Place

We are the Writing Center at Lone Star College - Montgomery. Our talented group of writing consultants includes faculty from each of LSC-Montgomery's four academic divisions. We are available to assist students, faculty, and staff with any writing-related activity, from brainstorming and research to revising and editing. more

Languages & ESOL

Our tutors (some of which are our own faculty) are patient and ready to help, and our independent-learning technology is some of the best you can find. And the best part is that all of the services are free and open to the entire community six days a week! more
