Comcast supports student success with donation of 100 computers
Comcast is working to bridge the digital divide, by awarding 100 computers to Lone Star College Foundation. Comcast donated the Dell Latitude 3120 Configuration laptops to be distributed to LSC-Kingwood students who are pursuing a technology-related certificate or degree.

Leave a Legacy Summit educates and inspires community
The Leave a Legacy summit hosted by the Mi Familia, Mi Futuro grant program, certainly lived up to its name. Nearly 200 people attended the community event, which took place Saturday, November 9th.
Lone Star College-Kingwood students participate in “Train Like a Firefighter” event
LSC-Kingwood Fire Academy students showed off their life-saving skills and practiced rescue techniques during a demonstration on the campus.
LSC-Kingwood professors featured in Houston’s new Meow Wolf immersive art exhibit
Two Lone Star College-Kingwood Visual Art Adjunct Professors are being featured in the new Meow Wolf immersive art exhibit in Houston. Adela Andea and Loc Huynh are among roughly 40 local and international artists chosen to create installations in the exhibit, which will open Thursday, October 31st.

College President
Dr. Melissa N. Gonzalez is the newly appointed President at Lone Star College-Kingwood. She was formerly the President of Houston Community College-Southeast from 2017-2021. Before HCC, Dr. Gonzalez served in numerous leadership roles at Lone Star College, Dean at LSC-North Harris, Special Assistant to the President, Interim Vice President and Vice Chancellor of Workforce and Economic Development.
