Applications
Lone Star College is an open-enrollment institution and applying is always free. Are you a new student? Take the first step and complete the online application through Apply Texas and choose Lone Star College.
New Student Orientation
All FTIC students are required to complete NSO and can access Orientation from the Admissions tile in the my.LoneStar.edu student portal. If assistance is needed, please email UP-Orientation@LoneStar.edu.
Transcripts
Only transcripts requests sent electronically from high schools or colleges will be processed while the facilities are closed due to COVID-19. No LSC transcript requests for mail or pick-up delivery will be processed during this time either.

Assessment / Testing
Testing services are currently located in the Assessment Center, B13.240.
We provide a variety of testing services for students, faculty and the community. Please note, we accept the last tester one-hour prior to closing.

Dual Credit
Dual Credit allows high school students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Students demonstrating college readiness through a college placement exam can earn college and high school credits in the same course by attending classes at their high school, on a Lone Star campus and/or online.

Library & Student Learning Resource Center (SLRC)
The LSC-University Park Library is part of the Student Learning Resource Center (SLRC), which provides complete digital access to resources of the libraries within Lone Star College, Harris County Public Libraries and Montgomery County Memorial Library System.

Online Academic Coaching & Tutoring
Academic support services normally found on campus are still available to you, including access to our academic coaches. Visit the SLRC tutoring webpage to learn more and make an appointment for a virtual tutoring session with an LSC-University Park academic coach.

Student Success Institute
The Student Success Institute (SSI) is designed to help students connect to the campus, reach key academic milestones and support students as they pursue their academic goals. SSI seeks to create academic, workforce and transfer pathway opportunities that will prepare students to persist, complete and maximize their contributions to society.
Textbooks
All orders for books and supplies must be placed online. All physical bookstore locations are closed at this time. Payments for online ordering can be made via major credit cards and most forms of financial aid.
Course sections may use different textbooks for the same class type, so please refer to your syllabus, before ordering online to ensure that you purchase the appropriate learning materials.

We understand there have been many recent changes to your learning environment. We're here to help you understand these changes and adjust accordingly while you continue working towards your academic goals. Don't hesitate to reach out to an LSC-University Park advisor to assist you.

Leo’s Shelf
Leo’s Shelf is an on-site, free-of-charge resource designed to address food insecurity for the LSC-University Park campus community. Leo’s Shelf is managed by faculty and staff volunteers, and is stocked by donations. Leo’s Shelf offers free grab-and-go meals and snacks, as well as nonperishable pantry items and personal hygiene products.

Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as a voice and means for the student body to influence positive change throughout the campus. CareerOneStop is a website sponsored by U.S. Department of Labor that provides resources to find training resources and job searches that match your interests.
Disability Services assists current and future students by determining and recommending appropriate academic support services. We also focus on helping students with disabilities make a succesful transition to the college and act as a referral source for services both on campus and within the community.
