Mathematics Department Course Offerings

Below you will find information on the mathematics courses offered at LSC-Kingwood, as well as departmental adopted books and other course information.

Mathematics Courses

To maintain the most up to date information on our courses, the LSC Catalog should be utilized. The catalog provides the following information which must be included in your syllabus:

  • Course Description
  • Credit hours
  • Contact hours
  • Prerequisites
  • Student learning outcomes

To use the LSC Catalog

  • Start by clicking on the link LSC Catalog
  • Scroll down the page looking on left hand side of the page for Courses and click on Courses
  • Scroll down until you find MATH, then click MATH
  • This will give you a list of all MATH classes
  • Click on the course (copy and paste the information needed)
  • You can also search for a specific MATH class  in the Search Catalog - example MATH1314 (note no space)

Late Enrollment Policy

Online Classes: Students may enroll without permission for the first 48 hours once the course starts. Starting on the third day of the session, permission is required. Advisors will need to forward request to the Dean only and only if class is has seats available.

 F2F Classes: Student may enroll without permission if course has not met twice and there are seats available. Once the course has met twice, advisor must send request to the Dean (not the Instructor).

Full time faculty have adopted departmental books for each course. Click the links below to view departmental book information, as well as the required chapters and sections based on student learning outcomes from the LSC-Academic Catalog.

It is required that adjunct professors use the departmental book adoptions found below. A full-time professor may choose an alternate book from the one noted therein.  Additionally, there may be alternate ISBNs available based on technology access time and version of print text that is preferred.
