Welcome to the Title III: College Awareness, Readiness, and Engagement (“CARE”) Program. This website provides updates on the Lone Star College-North Harris Title III grant for Strengthening Institutions. The purpose of the Strengthening Institutions Program is to help eligible colleges to become self-sufficient and expand their capacity to serve low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability of eligible institutions. The grant is funded for $2,121,657 over five years.
Our Goal
The Lone Star College-North Harris (LSC-NH) Title III grant is providing resources to provide the students at LSC-NH by implementing evidence-informed student support services and high-quality learning opportunities is essential to change the trajectory of LSC-NH students not persisting and ensuring low-income students have equal access to academic success. Additionally, these evidence- informed components offer methods for LSC-NH to address the enrollment decline and move the College toward stabilization and growth, increased enrollment, re-enrollment, and advancing student success and completion.
