The Student Success Initiatives are designed to increase the visibility of and access to student resources and services and to promote student achievement.
In this area these activities are underway:
• Provide technological upgrades for the LSC-NH Welcome Center to make it easier for students to obtain information and access to services.
• Implement the C.A.R.E. (Community Assistance & Resources for Everyone) program to provide students with access to basic needs resources. Students will have access to a request portal and the Title III C.A.R.E. coordinators will monitor the portal daily to assess student needs, connect one-on-one to the student if additional information or clarification is needed, and maintain student contact.
• During the first two years, graduate students will design and administer a Community Resource Mapping Survey and convene a campus-level Community C.A.R.E. Council of local service providers during summers.
• Graduate students will help strengthen reengagement for Stop-Out Students by designing and administering the Stop-Out Student Survey and developing a new Power BI report focused on collecting high-quality data.
• Student Success will expand student success/enrichment activities annually by using collected data. This will include one targeted outreach and two engagement activities/annually.
• A full time Career Advisor and a part-time Career Advisor will assist students in clarifying personal and career goals, developing consistent educational goals, and evaluating their progress toward established goals.
