The demand for music professionals in the Houston area has never been greater. Positions as band and choir directors are needed in both education and religious settings.

The Lone Star College-North Harris Music program is designed to prepare you for an associate of arts degree, as well as for transfer to any four-year university. A full music curriculum is available, including music theory, sight singing, ear training, music literature, class piano, performing ensembles, and applied music instruction. Music majors are encouraged to speak with a music faculty member before enrolling in order to be advised correctly. Auditions are held in both fall and spring semesters and during the summer.
