The Lone Star College-University Park Modern Language Department provides students with tools that will increase their conversational fluency and make them life-long language learners. The department also aims to expose students to different cultures and facilitate their appreciation of the diversity and enrichment that languages provide.

LSC-University Park currently offers Spanish and French at various levels in face-to-face, fully online and hybrid classes. Students who take languages can fulfill a Language, Philosophy, & Culture core requirement, and/or apply the class toward an Area of Concentration in International Studies.
