New Students

Use this checklist as a guide to assist you through the entire admissions and registration process!

	Apply for Admission Complete the Online Admissions Application or visit the Student Services Center for assistance on campus.
	Complete Pre-Assessment Activity Complete the Pre-Assessment Activity to receive a testing referral. Students with qualifying test scores are exempt from this step. Provide official TAKS, STAAR, SAT, or ACT scores or previous college level coursework. Students with qualifying scores or who have completed college-level work successfully proceed to Step 4.
	Complete Placement Testing Placement testing must be completed before attending orientation and meeting with an advisor. Cleveland Testing Dates August 11, 2015 5:00-9:00 p.m. August 15, 2015 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. August 17, 2015 5:00-9:00 p.m.
	Complete New Student Orientation New Student Orientation and advising must be completed before registering for classes. Students will meet with an advisor and select classes. *Note: Transfer students do not need to complete New Student Orientation. Proceed to last step.
	Register and Pay for Classes New and current students will meet with an advisor to register for classes. Students pay online through myLoneStar accounts or by visiting the business office.
