Do you want to earn a degree but feel like you don’t have time during the day? Do you need a program that offers classes in the evenings at the same time, all the time, so you can plan? Would you like to complete your core classes in one year? Let’s Work on Your Core!

Work on Your Academic Core is a program offered at the Lone Star College-CyFair campus. Students can become core complete (42 credit hours) in one year by taking class two times a week. Classes are 8 weeks long and meet face to face Tuesday or Thursday evenings for the duration of the program. Since each class meets once a week on campus, students also do some of the class work online. This is called a hybrid format. Students can take two classes the first 8 weeks of the semester, and two classes the second 8 weeks of the semester. This means students will only need to focus on two classes at a time instead of four all at once to meet full-time status. Students can also just take one or two of the classes. There is no requirement.
