Student Show Submissions

For Fall 2024

Thank you for your interest in entering the LSC-Montgomery Student Art Show. You must be a current Lone Star College-Montgomery student to enter. 

Student Art Show Submission Information - In-Person Classes Only

  • All work will be submitted on Monday, November 4 - Thursday, November 7 from 9:00am-4:00pm.

  • Where: Building A/Room A201 “The Maker Space”

  • Work will be juried and selected on Tuesday, November 12.

  • All students will be notified through school email.

    • This includes accepted and not accepted works.

  • Students may submit older works, but no more than a year old.

    • These works, if older (not from this semester) must have been done during an art class here at LSC-Montgomery.

  • You may submit up to three works with the recommendation being at least two.

  • All work must be gallery ready. This means for all 2D-Design work that needs to be hung on the wall.

    • Gallery ready includes framed work with d-rings on the back and wire.

    • Assistance will be provided if students are not sure on how to complete the process for a gallery ready work.

  • If help is needed, then assistance will be provided during the week of drop-offs - Monday, November 4 - Thursday, November 7 from 9:00am-4:00pm.

  • Paperwork will need to be completed during the time of turn in. Please have the following information ready when you drop-off your work.

    • Your Name
    • Title of Work
    • Medium
    • Professor
    • Social media (not required, only if you want to share)
    • Year Completed
    • For Sale/ NFS (if for sale please list the amount/if not put NFS)
    • Lone Star College School Email
    • Student ID #
    • Phone Number
    • Any special instructions/requests/add diagram if needed
  • If your work is not accepted to the student art show, then you may pick up your work in A201 on Wednesday, November 13 and Monday, November 18 from 9:00am - 4:00pm. 
  • All work that is not accepted and accepted to the show will need to be picked up by the end of the day on Tuesday, December 10 at 4:00pm.

For All Student Show Submissions

If selected I give Lone Star College permission to use my image(s) for promotional purposes.
Accepted work must remain on display for the duration of the show.

By signing/participation you agree that work not picked up by the end of the current semester may be discarded by the beginning of the next semester.

Student Art Show

The Student Art Show will be open from November 19 - December 5, 10am-4pm.

Reception:

Wednesday, December 4 at 1pm. There will also be scholarship and purchase awards. 

Pick Up:

Monday, December 9 - Tuesday, December 10 from 10:00am-4:00pm.
*If you cannot come pick up your work, notify Robin.Griffith@lonestar.edu.

*Artwork not picked up by the end of the semester of the exhibition will become property of the art department or disposed of due to lack of storage space.*
