The Office of Strategy and Innovation (OSI, formerly COTE) offers workshops, events, programs, and professional development training. If you would like to facilitate a workshop and make the course available on iStar MyWorkshops, please fill out the Course Request Form and allow one week for the course to become available.

Workshop: Grow Shine and Succeed Professional Development Series.
Description: This series is a four-part program designed to equip participants with essential career and professional growth skills. This comprehensive series covers key areas of professional development, including event planning, managing relationships with supervisors, strategic planning, and effective time management.

Workshop: Looking Sharp on Camera: Tips for Enhancing Your Online Impression
Description: This interactive workshop series focuses on helping attendees feel confident and look professional on camera. Register today to learn tips on looking and sounding polished and professional during online video calls, interviews, presentations, VLOGs, social media, and other digital presence.

Session 1: Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 2:00 pm, E253
This session provides an introduction and tips to enhance your digital presence, empowered by video presence for professional online interviews and public speaking. Each attendee will be able to record a brief self-introduction video at the end of the session.
Session 2: Tuesday, April 26, 2024, 2:00 pm, E253
This session will have attendees attend with a video they recorded in Session 1. Based on attendees' comfort level and consent, the instructor will critique and provide tips to enhance each video speaker's on-camera presence.
Session 3: Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 2:00 pm, E253
In this session, participants will watch online video examples that the instructor will comment on, highlighting positive aspects and implementable tips. Participants will record another video during or after the workshop, applying the tips and feedback.

Multimedia Services 

Multimedia Services will be offering a nine-session certification in media content creation starting the fall 2023 semester, through the academic year and ending May 2024. The course title is Instructional Media Content Development. In these sessions attendees will learn various basic and intermediate techniques that will help when thinking about future projects. The session will be open to all faculty, staff, and administrators.
