All nursing students will participate in hands-on training at a clinical site 1-2 days each week. In this
environment students apply previous knowledge and skills directly to patient care; work collaboratively
with nurses and agency staff; and gain experience in beginning to manage patient care in real-life
situations.
Clinical experience is correlated with theory learned in the classroom and skills learned in the laboratory
courses. Close direct supervision is provided by your LSC Tomball faculty member in the clinical setting.
The variety of facilities allow students to develop proficiency in acute, long term and community-based
settings. Clinical sites are assigned at the beginning of each semester.
The links below will take you to some of the websites of medical facilities with whom we frequently
partner. Specific clinical training sites may vary each semester. Other clinical training locations may be
available as well.
