We are currently seeking someone for part time hire in my core analysis laboratory as an entry level lab assistant. The position is pretty basic and the individual would focus on assisting with all aspects of sample preparation and any task(s) to assist senior leadership/analysts. This role would give the assistant an opportunity to gain insight into an industry that frequently employs recent graduates in the industry as core analysts, lab technicians or technical sales professionals.

The schedule would be part-time, not to exceed 15-20 hours per week and would work along a senior analyst. He/she would have the flexibility to work some hours during normal business hours Monday-Friday, and we could set the schedule week by week depending on work load/school schedule.

Preferred criteria: Detail oriented; Has work experience; Good attitude; Ability to take instructions and work independently in fast paced setting; Willingness to complete ordinary, tedious tasks involving geological samples.
