Mission and Goals
The Lone Star College-Montgomery Student Veterans Association is a student organization that serves as a social and academic support network for transitioning veterans who seek to harness and leverage the leadership skills and professional experience they’ve honed throughout their military career for the purposes of scholarly success and workplace excellence. Our goals are to provide social opportunities, facilitate mentoring relationships, advocate for veterans services and assist student veterans with their successful integration into the academic environment and eventually, into the civilian workforce.

Activities include quarterly meeting with the LSC-Montgomery President, Student Services and Financial Aid representatives; on and off-campus social activities; career development speakers series and resume enhancement workshops; participation in Wounded Warriors and similar fundraising initiatives; and advocacy efforts designed to raise awareness about Veterans needs, issues and achievements.

Affiliations
The LSC-Montgomery SVA is a local chapter of the SALUTE National Veterans Honor Society and is a member of National Student Veterans Association.
