“Upward Bound has been such an amazing experience for me. It’s more than just an academic program—it’s like a family that supports you every step of the way. The tutors and mentors are always there to help with homework, preparing for tests, and even giving advice about college life. It’s also a place where I can meet other students who have similar goals and dreams, which makes me feel less alone in my journey. The program has given me the confidence I need to believe in myself and my ability to succeed. I’ve learned so much, not just in school, but about myself and what I’m capable of. Upward Bound has opened so many doors for me, and I’m grateful for everything it’s done to help me get closer to my college goals.” - N. Navarro
“Upward Bound has taught me a lot about what I want to do in my future. It’s also taught me valuable lessons that I’ll never forget. Upward Bound means having a mentor or teacher in your corner that wants to help you get on the right track after high school. The program is designed to help students learn more about college life and help them get to where they’re wanting to go. There are trips where we get to explore colleges, but we also have college prep sessions where students learn little by little what it’s like being in a college class and what to expect.” – S. Gistand
“I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing program. This experience has changed my mindset completely and I have learned many great things, but most of all I enjoy the exploring part during the college tours. I am pleased to say that joining Upward Bound was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Thanks for all you do!” – I. Martinez
“It’s a program to help us prepare and helps students who wouldn’t typically have the ability to do anything about college, and they let us have fun while doing it!” – O. Guzman
“It’s a community that helps students prepare for college.” – R. Haley
“Upward Bound is a helpful program that made me realize that becoming someone in this life is important. They are teaching me how to make my dreams and wishes happen if I work hard.” – A. Cruz
