Application Steps for Paramedic Program:

Step 1 Complete admissions to Lone Star College

  • Enroll in Lone Star College System. If you have not taken classes at a LSCS campus within the last year, you must apply to the college, or update your application at www.lonestar.edu/admissions. If you need assistance with the application process please contact MC-Studentrecords@lonestar.edu. If you need accommodations, please visit www.lonestar.edu/montgomerydisability-services.htm
  • Submit official copies of all High School/college transcripts to Lone Star College. Transcript evaluation can take 2-3 weeks and credits must be completed before application can be submitted.
  • Complete all remaining college admission requirements, for further assistance please visit the Admissions Office at any Lone Star College campus

Step 2 Complete Application and email it to kevin.akers@lonestar.edu with all supporting documents (Students who apply should hold certification as an EMT)

Shortlisted students will be invited to an interview. Accepted student will have additional requirements to fulfill – background check, drug screening, health history, and proof of immunizations.

Certification/licensure is not automatic. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) administer all certification examinations upon completion of a DSHS recognized educational program. Completion of the LSC-Montgomery EMSP program does not guarantee eligibility for DSHS/NREMT certification/licensure. Criminal background checks are conducted by DSHS as part of the screening process. Candidates with concerns about their background should contact the Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin, Texas.

Make LSC part of your story.
