Burleson Equine Hospital
We are an equine-only practice in Burleson, Texas which is just south of Fort Worth. We are looking for a self-motivated technician to work the night shift (approximately 5 pm-3 am) on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights. The ideal technician would have horse experience and a willingness to learn all aspects of equine medicine, from surgery and anesthesia to ambulatory. The candidate should also be able to lift 50 pounds. The job requires working both with the doctors and occasionally alone on hospitalized patients and emergencies. The majority of work would be in the hospital, but there would be some ambulatory emergency work. We are a close-knit, family-like clinic that emphasizes team work and communication. We are looking for a person that likes to work alone as well as with a team, that has good interpersonal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and is flexible enough to go with the hectic flow of equine private practice. We are willing to train the right person in all aspects of our clinic duties but really need someone with adequate to excellent horse handling skills.
