Tomball Testing Center
The Testing Center at LSC-Tomball is located on the second floor Library building, Room L201. We provide a variety of testing services for students, faculty, and the community.

*Important Information for TSIA2*
Please follow the instructions below if you are needing to test for TSIA2. If you do not complete all of the required steps you will not be seated for testing.
Step 1: Determine if you need to take the TSIA2 or if you have previously tested for TSIA2
Step 2: If you need to test, please click the link
READY TO TEST to request a testing ticket. It can take 24-48 hours for approval.
Step 3: Upon approval of the testing ticket, schedule an appointment to test at LSC-Tomball or LSC- Creekside by clicking the link above schedule an appointment and skip to step 5.
Step 4: If you have previously tested please click the link
Previously Tested for TSIA2. In order for your scores to be retrieved from Accuplacer and uploaded to your MyLonestar profile. Once completed an advisor can assist you further.
Step 5: If you are testing please pay online by clicking
Pay Online for Tests. You may also pay at the Cashiers office during business hours.
If you do not complete all above the steps you will not be seated to take the TSIA2 test.

PLEASE NOTE:
All testing fees must be paid before testing at the Cashier office or online. Please present receipt.
No testing will begin within one hour of closing. The last hour is reserved for closing out exams that are already in progress
It is the Examinee’s responsibility to arrive early enough before closing time to finish an exam.
To protect the integrity of exams, photo identification is required.
Please do not bring children; they cannot be accommodated or left unattended while testing.
Please refer to the chart below for instructions on how to schedule appointments for each exam type. You may schedule same-day appointments if time slots are available. Appointments are required!

Thank you for taking the Avant Language Placement Test. Please present a copy of your Avant Placement
Test Score (given to you by the testing center) to registration. You should register for the appropriate Arabic, French, German, Italian, or Spanish class according to the chart below. You must register in person as the online system does not recognize your score as a bypass to the pre-requisites. You do not need a signature as the test score is your proof of placement.

Your Avant Placement Test score will also appear in your iStar student profile. At the end of the semester, if you pass the class into which you place with a grade of a “C” or better, you may request PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) credit for the course(s) which you by-passed through this test.

- Most exams are 3 hours unless otherwise stated. Be sure to check your exam length before scheduling your exam on the Licensing Exam site.
- NOTE: If you decide to retest on the same day, be sure to select the option that includes retesting on the scheduling page to ensure there is enough time for both exams in one day.
