What is Data Analytics?
Data Analytics is the science of analyzing raw data to find trends, answer questions, and make informed decisions. Students will learn key topics such as:
- data visualization
- database concepts
- cloud computing
- data mining
- predictive analytics
- machine learning
LSC-University Park offers an Associate of Applied Science in Data Analytics. Upon completion, students may enter the workforce in positions such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, data architect, or database administrator.
How do I become a Data Analyst?
Data Analytics Level 2 Certificate
The first step in this program is designed for students to jump right into Data Analytics by working to obtain the Data Analytics Level 2 Certificate.

Associate of Applied Science Data Analytics
Students have the option to continue on and round out their certification with a few college level courses to earn an Associate of Applied Science Data Analytics degree.
