Winter Break Advising Hours and Service
LSC-Tomball Student Services' winter hours of operation will all be handled virtually. Virtual services will be available:
- Dec 19 (Thursday) | 9 am-2 pm
- Dec 20 (Friday) | 9 am-2 pm
- Dec 30 (Monday) | 9 am-2 pm
- Dec 31 (Tuesday) | 9 am-2 pm

Welcome to LSC-Tomball Advising! Our academic advisors are professional guides to assist you in your educational goals towards successful transfer and career pathways. All students are assigned an Academic Advisor based on their enrollment in EDUC 1300, Area of Study, or Special Population. You may reach an academic advisor for appointments within your student portal, visit Tomball or Creekside Center for Walk-In Wednesdays, or get quick questions answered via LiveChat.

If you are currently enrolled and assigned an Academic Advisor, please contact them directly for assistance using the information in your student portal. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Please bring your LSC ID to check-in.

How to Plan and Register for Courses
- RETURNING STUDENTS

If you have previously attended Lone Star College, as a college student or Dual Credit student, you are considered a Returning Student. If you have been away from LSC for more than two years, please visit with Admissions to apply for Readmission and complete your check-list items. If you have enrolled at LSC within the past two years, please visit with Advising for a Walk-In session on Wednesday.
If you are returning following Academic Suspension, please submit a Suspension Appeal. Appeals are reviewed every week. For more information regarding Academic Probation and Suspension, please visit PASS Program.
- FIRST TIME IN COLLEGE STUDENTS

If you have graduated from high school, and never attended a college/university following high school completion, you are considered a First Time in College (FTIC) student. Please visit with Admissions to complete your FTIC Advising Session and complete your check-list items. Your last checklist item is to RSVP for New Student Orientation (NSO). NSO will be the time you meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss your LSC Program, educational goals, and get registered for classes.
- NEW TRANSFER STUDENTS

You are considered a Transfer Student if you attended a college/university and now plan to complete an LSC program of study at LSC-Tomball. Please review the Transfer Student Registration Process, submit your official transcripts, and prepare to visit with Advising for a Walk-In session on Wednesday.
- VISITING STUDENTS

If you are currently enrolled at a university/college and want to take a few courses at LSC to transfer back, please submit your course requests via the Visiting Student Registration. Requests will be processed beginning November 1, 2024.
If you are a recent high school graduate and have been accepted to your university but want to take some courses to transfer, complete the request above and include a copy of your university acceptance letter.
Please note: all Visiting Students are changed to Non-Degree Visiting Programs making them ineligible for Financial Aid at LSC.
- DUAL CREDIT TRANSITIONING STUDENTS

If you are a Dual Credit student who has graduated high school and would like to continue enrollment at LSC-Tomball, please complete any pending checklist items and then visit Advising on Walk-In Wednesdays.
