The Massage Therapy Certificate prepares students to be skilled and responsible therapeutic massage providers. Students learn the practice of using touch to manipulate the soft-tissue muscles of the body. Massage therapy is performed for a variety of reasons, including pain treatment, decompressing tired and overworked muscles, reducing stress, rehabilitating sports injuries, and promoting  general health.

This program is designated as an Assigned School through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is approved by the Texas Higher Education Board. Designed to prepare students for the Massage and Bodyworks Licensure Exam (MBLEx).

Licensure - Employment in this field requires Texas licensure from the FSMTB/TDLR
