PLA by College Prep
Lone Star College (LSC) and local Independent School Districts (ISD) have partnered to design high school courses geared to prepare students for college-level mathematics, reading and writing.
Students are not required to meet criteria and guidelines common to other types of prior learning assessments. However, to receive credit, students must complete the following items within the first long semester after high school graduation:
- Apply to Lone Star College
- Meet with a LSC First-Time in College (FTC) advisor and provide them with an official high school transcript
- Enroll in the appropriate and subsequent college level course (i.e., MATH 1314 and/or ENGL 1301)
