MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
The nursing faculty of LSC-North Harris (LSC-NH) concur with the vision and values of the LSC system and the LSC system nursing philosophy. LSC-North Harris has the privilege of having the most diverse student population. The faculty are committed to educating this diverse group of students focusing on a common goal of producing safe, ethical, caring, and competent nurses. LSC-North Harris Nursing Department's Health Professions Building (HPB) is located at 17200 Red Oak Drive, Houston, Texas 77090.
The LSC-NH Associate Degree Nursing (A.D.N.) program offers two tracks to become a Registered Nurse (RN) providing and coordinating care for patients in a variety of healthcare settings. Students can earn an ADN through the Basic Track program which is designed for those with no previous nursing or paramedic education. An ADN is also achievable through the Articulation (Transition) Track program which is designed to transition Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Licensed Paramedics (LPs) in earning their ADN. The LSC-North Harris A.D.N. program offers an integrated nursing curriculum whereby both classroom and clinical content are organized around a series of concepts that progress from simple to complex.
