Tips for Holiday Survival

Perfection is not the goal. Keep holiday expectations manageable.

"No" is allowed. Keep your commitments manageable. Be realistic about what you can and can't do.

Focus on the future, not the past.

Stay connected to others or find a support group to help if you're feeling down.

Enjoy outdoor activities. Exercise can help lift your spirits.

Plan ahead. Know how you're going to deal with stress if it comes.

Save time for you! Sneak in a nap instead of self-medicating. It can improve your mood and help relieve stress.

Skip or limit the booze. Alcohol can actually increase depression. Try festive mocktails instead.
