Melissa King is an experienced marketing and sales professional and the Executive Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Lone Star College-Montgomery. With 28 years of combined experience in sales and marketing, she successfully managed multiple sales, international and domestic events, community, and marketing projects simultaneously for students ages 18 to 25. Melissa spent 15 years traveling to 27 countries, leading over 5,000 youth and adults on summer/winter outreaches.

Before assuming the position of Executive Director of PRMarCom, Melissa served as the Director of Business Development in the medical industry and non-profit sector. By developing and implementing successful strategies to expand markets and community awareness through referral resources, community initiatives, and networking events, she increased growth and expanded each organization’s brand awareness among new clients. 

Melissa's dedication to education and leadership is evident through her academic accomplishments. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Marketing from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX.  

Melissa King’s leadership extends to her personal life as well, as she dedicates her time and efforts in the community. Through her dedication to marketing and leadership, she is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and adaptability that empowers her team to consistently exceed targets and contribute to the success of Lone Star College-Montgomery.
