We want to provide you with all of the information you will need to start taking advantage of the dual credit opportunities at Lone Star College-Online for both public or private school students. How to partner with LSC-Online for Dual Credit?

If you are a Private High School Administrator and are interested in forming a partnership with LSC-Online to offer your students the opportunity to take dual credit courses with us, please reach out to: 


New Public or Private School Dual Credit Student Checklist

New public or private school students should follow these steps to ensure easier acceptance to the LSC-Online Dual Credit Program.

  • Meet with your high school dual credit counselor to discuss dual credit options. The counselor will also be your main contact for questions regarding registration, payment, and general concerns.

  • If approved, please complete the checklist steps below: Note: Your counselor may already have scheduled dates for you to complete the items listed.

Apply for LSC Admissions online at Apply Texas.

You will usually receive this within 24-48 hours of completing the application. Save this information! You will need it to complete the registration paperwork.

Make sure to log into your student portal at my.LoneStar.edu.

The pre-assessment activity can be found in your myLoneStar student checklist. (Skip this step if you have taken the SAT, ACT, or PSAT).

  • Complete testing for ACT, SAT, PSAT, and/ or TSIA2 Testing.
     
  • The testing fee is waived for all first-time dual credit testers. All first-time testers MUST take the full exam. Students can re-take sections of the exam for a small fee. Please visit our testing center information to find out more. 
     
  • TSI testing can be completed either via remote proctoring or in-person proctoring at a LSC campus. Remote proctoring has an additional fee of $25 per administration. Please visit our testing center information for instructions on signing up for remote and in-person testing.

 Submit the packet to the counselor or dual credit coordinator at your school for signatures and registration. If you took the SAT, PSAT, or ACT please include a full score report in your packet to your counselor.

After registration is complete, your counselor will notify you to make payment for your classes. 

Returning Public or Private School Dual Credit Student Checklist

Returning public or private school students should follow these steps to ensure easier acceptance to the LSC-Online Dual Credit Program.

Meet with your high school dual credit counselor to request courses.

This form must contain all 3 signatures. Your counselor will complete the course section of the form.

After registration is complete, your counselor will notify you to make payment for your classes.

***Dual credit students are not permitted to self-register or drop.***
