It's time to apply to graduate and get the diploma and/or certificate that you worked so hard for! The next step is easy. All Lone Star College students must apply for graduation online. Please complete the graduation application in your myLonestar student account by clicking on the Apply Now button below.

Commencement Ceremony
Come join your fellow Coyote graduates at Commencement! Commencement is a graduation ceremony for graduates, their families, faculty, and staff. It's a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our students. Order your cap & gown and get ready to walk across the stage!

Student Caps & Gowns
All students participating in the LSC-Kingwood Commencement ceremony must wear a black cap & gown. Caps & gowns may be purchased from any vendor including Herff Jones, borrowed from a previous graduate or family member, or loaned out by the LSC-Kingwood Graduation department. Contact KCGraduation@lonestar.edu for information about caps & gowns. We're here to help you!

Commencement Guidelines & Orientation Sessions
The Graduation department will be hosting a Graduation Orientation for graduates Thursday, April 3rd at 12:30PM or Monday, April 7th at 5:30pm in the SCC Conference Room. Students will be provided with important information and guidelines including arrival times, ceremony length, caps & gowns, grad photos and much more. Please plan on attending one session.
Early College High School graduates will have orientation sessions at their respective campuses.
Livestream and Photographs
The 2025 LSC-Kingwood Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed. Information on how to access the livestream will be provided closer to the event. Flash Photography will be on hand to photograph graduates at the Commencement ceremony. Graduates will be able to purchase photos directly from Flash Photography. Questions? Shout Out Messages
To commemorate your achievements and to send a special shout out message to those who have supported you we are offering students the ability to send us a picture and short message that will be displayed before the ceremony begins.
Submissions are due April 25, 2025, and no late submissions will be accepted.
Diploma Mailing Information
- All commencement participants will receive a commemorative diploma cover at the ceremony.
- Graduates will receive their actual diploma via US mail to the diploma address listed on your student profile, after successful completion of degree requirements is confirmed.
- Diplomas are printed at our System Office and typically take 6-8 weeks for arrival.
- All holds must be cleared to receive a diploma and official Lone Star College transcript.
- Please check your student profile to verify a degree has been awarded before requesting an official transcript.
Replacement Diplomas
Replacement diplomas requested one year after the posted graduation date will incur a $25 fee. To request a Diploma Reprint form and payment options, please contact our campus Graduation Specialists via email at kcgraduation@lonestar.edu.
