LSC-University Park

Conveniently located off Highway 249, LSC-University Park offers 18 online programs and has two centers, LSC-Energy & Manufacturing Institute and LSC-University Center at University Park. The Energy & Manufacturing Institute (EMI) is a hub for students seeking careers in workforce fields, such as petroleum service, robotics automation, CAD, machining, corrosion, computer programming and, visual communication. LSC-University Center at University Park allows students to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees close to home. The college is committed to providing outreach and has an Outreach Team to work with schools, community partners, and other organizations to promote higher education and provide assistance with admissions.

Nestled directly in the middle of Houston and Tomball off Highway 249, the college has the best of both worlds with easy access to Houston and the small town feel of Tomball nearby. Certainly not short of activities to enjoy nearby are the Tomball Historic Museums, Tomball Railroad Depot & Plaza, and the Houston Museum District just a short drive away! On a beautiful Houston day, you could find yourself taking in a round of golf at the multiple golf courses within a few miles of the college. LSC-University Park offers over 70 programs of study, including credit and non-credit courses, workforce training and continuing education classes.

LSC-University Park welcomed 391 International Students in Fall 2023.

In Fall 2023, 1,298 First Time College students enrolled in LSC-University Park with 53% receiving financial aid.

As a system, the Lone Star College awarded 11,236 degrees and certificates, nearly a 16% increase over spring 2023.

About The Woodlands

LSC-CyFair

LSC-CyFair opened in August 2003 and serves over 16,000 students at the college, along with two additional centers and 19 online programs. The campus boasts scenic views and a recreation trail. Cypress, often called Cy-Fair for Cypress-Fairbanks, is located 25 miles northwest of Downtown Houston and is one of Houston’s largest suburban communities, making it an excellent choice for families with children to live. Two major freeways, U.S. Highway 290 and State Highway 249, and the Sam Houston Tollway and Grand Parkway offer major connections to Houston.

With its quiet, suburban appeal and highly rated school district, its not hard to see why this community is a top destination for families. There are 11 golf courses within the Cy-Fair and over 30 parks for residents to enjoy with their families. From Frio-Hill Country Grill & The Barn to Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen to Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood, restaurant options are endless. Trying to cook more at home? No problem! LSC-Houston North

LSC-Houston North is the seventh college of the LSC System and consists of four locations, including LSC-Houston North Fairbanks, LSC-Houston North Fallbrook, LSC-Houston North Greenspoint, and LSC- Houston North Victory. Program offerings are unique at LSC-Houston North as most classes are eight weeks long allowing for students to quickly accumulate college credits. The college is committed to improving the lives of students and the communities in which they reside by offering community service activities, such as a Faith-Based Literacy Initiative, school supply drives for K-12 students, College Exploration Days and, the LSC-Houston North Academy provides local seniors with college and career preparation activities.

LSC-Kingwood

LSC-Kingwood is the second campus of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District, now Lone Star College and hosts more than 11,000 students. The college offers a variety of academic courses and programs through its college and two satellite facilities, LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC- Process Technology Center. In 2022, the Health Professions Center opened with the only LSC location offering Dental Hygiene and Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. The Fire Training Facility is set to open in 2023 and will hold all equipment needed for students to undergo fire exercises and learn other essential skills to become certified firefighters.

Kingwood, known as “The Livable Forest,” is a master planned community located 27 miles northeast of Houston with several major highways offering quick access to Houston. Kingwood is a highly desired family community with highly ranked schools and natural amenities. The community spirit is alive and well in Kingwood, and its neighbors come together in time of need, as proven during Hurricane Harvey. Nestled on the shores of Lake Houston, Kingwood has over 100 miles of greenbelts connecting the community to various shopping centers, restaurants, schools and, parks. “The Livable Forest” does not disappoint with numerous parks and trails for families to enjoy outdoor activities. As for the food scene, Kingwood is home to highly rated Hunan Garden, which has arguably the best General Tsao’s chicken you will ever have. LSC-Montgomery

Conveniently located, LSC-Montgomery is nestled in the master planned community ranked Best City to Live In America in 2022. LSC-Montgomery is a beautifully hidden campus where students can enjoy time studying peacefully, hanging out with friends, and taking advantage of the available services. The college also offers 17 online programs, a full-service center with Piloting, Welding, and Automotive Technology programs, and LSC-University Center at The Woodlands allowing for students to receive their bachelor’s and master’s degree close to home.

LSC-North Harris is conveniently located near four major highways, I-45, Beltway 8, I-69 and, the Hardy Toll Road. The college offers multiple satellite centers and workforce centers of excellence, LSC-East Aldine Center, LSC-Greenspoint Center, LSC-Victory Center, LSC-Health Professions Building, LSC-Transportation and Global Logistics Technology Center, and CHI Lone Star College-North Harris School of Cosmetology. LSC-Tomball

LSC-Tomball, conveniently located off Highway 249, is the third college in the Lone Star College System. The college consists of its main campus, the LSC-Tomball Health Science Building and the LSC- Creekside Center, a satellite center in The Woodlands. Nestled on over 100 acres surrounded by trees, the campus has a Large Animal Facility, a Veterinary Technology Building, a Performing Arts Building, and tennis courts. The library, a joint library with Harris County Public Library, features an innovation lab, community engagement space, a children’s library, and the Tomball Community Art Showcase. LSC-Tomball feels like home, as its often referred to as “friendly” and “like family.”

Tomball has a lot much to offer with fun-filled festivals, live music, shopping and, award-winning restaurants. The Tomball Museum Center is a historic association with several restored buildings and museums and has an old town feel. Whether you are craving barbecue or a mom-and-pop restaurant favorite, there no shortage of good food. The historic Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza is a must see attraction and fun for the whole family!
