Erin Miller began teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2003 as a volunteer ESL teacher in Tulsa, OK. She holds a B.A. in Biblical Literature with a minor in Spanish and an M.A. in Education-TESL from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. After living and teaching in Japan, she returned to the US and moved to Texas where she began teaching at LSC North Harris in 2007. This Professor of ESOL enjoys learning new ways to make new language stick and creating opportunities for her students to engage with each other in meaningful ways. In her view, learning another language entails so much more than vocabulary memorization and grammar drills. In her free time, she enjoys reading biographies, trying out new recipes, spending time in nature, having adventures with her kids and making memories with family & friends. She and her husband live in Houston, TX with their three children and two dogs.
